Meet Mindaugas, one of our talented developers who joined Answer Digital in 2022. From starting his journey through our Developer Academy to working on exciting projects involving AI, finance, and physical hardware, Mindaugas has quickly become an integral part of the team. As we celebrate his three year milestone with Answer Digital, we get to know Mindaugas a little better.

Mindaugas’ role in three words

When asked to describe his job, Mindaugas chose the words challenging, dynamic, and rewarding. It’s no surprise—his role pushes him to innovate and adapt, and he finds immense satisfaction in seeing the impact of his work.

A career milestone to be proud of

One of Mindaugas’ proudest moments was earning his promotion to Level 2 Developer. With Answer being Mindaugas' first job, he is looking to climb the ladder throughAnswer and graduating the Academy was the first step in his career growth. His promotion was a clear reflection of his hard work, dedication, and growth since starting with us.

The best part of the job

For Mindaugas, the standout aspect of working at Answer Digital is the supportive and open culture. He says, “People are incredibly supportive, sharing their knowledge without me even having to ask for it. They’re also super open, sharing their concerns about anything, creating a very trusting environment.”

An unusual (and noisy!) project

While he hasn’t had an unusual job before joining Answer, Mindaugas recalls a quirky project involving physical printers. “I spent so much time plugging and unplugging USB cables of 5 or 6 different printers, testing behavior between Windows, the printer, and my app. The Windows notification sound is now burned into my mind!” It’s safe to say that project left its mark!

Favourite travel destination

Mindaugas’ favorite travel spot is the Alps—a classic choice, but for good reason. “The views are absolutely stunning,” he says, proving that some clichés are worth embracing.

Here’s a fun fact: Mindaugas once created something he calls “charred hot chocolate” by microwaving chocolate in milk a little too long. The result? A smoky surprise and a story worth laughing over!

A guilty pleasure TV show

When it comes to TV, Mindaugas can’t get enough of 90 Day Fiancé. Despite the second-hand embarrassment, he finds the drama irresistibly entertaining.

A dream job for a day

If he could trade jobs for a day, Mindaugas would travel back to 1993 to become John Carmack, the legendary game developer behind Doom. “I’d love to experience building something so monumental as the first-ever Doom game.” What an incredible perspective on blending passion and innovation.
