Whether it’s growing our incredible team, shaping new ways to attract talent, or juggling about five projects at once, Jonny keeps the wheels turning (and the plates spinning!) across Answer’s people operations.

Finding Answer through ‘love in the room’

Jonny’s Answer story started in a Leeds Digital Festival talk, where Lucy and Luisa shared how Answer “puts love in the room.”

“The idea that a company so respected in tech leads with something so human, I knew straight away it was a place I wanted to be part of.”
Three years later, he’s helped hire some of our brightest minds and supported the delivery of incredible projects across the business.

Career milestone

Earlier this year, Jonny hit a huge personal and professional milestone, £1 million saved in recruitment spend.

“Our industry is so competitive. To be able to say I’ve impacted the bottom line in such a big way felt like a massive achievement.”

The best thing about the team

For Jonny, it all comes down to our owners’ mindset:

“Everyone here is invested in hiring the best people. It’s not just my job, people across Answer go out of their way to help because they care about who we bring in. I’ve never worked anywhere that takes culture this seriously.”

The most unusual job he’s ever had

“This one! I’ve washed cars, slept on the street, done gardening and cycled across the UK, none of which were in the job description.”

Favourite place travelled

New York. 🗽
Jonny got engaged there in 2019 and says:

“We did so much in the time we were there and still only scratched the surface. Plus, I’m a sucker for American food!”

Spare time

With two young kids, spare time is a rare luxury. But when he finds it, you’ll usually find Jonny BBQing, DIYing, or trying to keep fit to keep up with his little ones.

2025 goal

This year, Jonny’s leading the launch of Answer’s new Academy model, a first-of-its-kind initiative to grow future tech talent.

“It’s something that’s never been done before. My biggest goal is making sure it’s a huge success.”

From saving £1 million in recruitment spend to shaping the next generation of tech talent, Jonny’s story is one of passion, creativity, and a genuine love for people. We’re so lucky to have him spinning all the right plates at Answer.
