Meet the Team: Celebrating 4 Years with Adam!

2nd October 2025

This week, we're catching up with Lead Business Analyst, Adam, to celebrate his fantastic four-year anniversary at Answer Digital! Adam's journey is a brilliant story of career transformation, driven by a deep passion for technology and a laser-focus on the world of genomics.

We sat down with him to talk about his proudest moments, his love for cutting-edge tech, and what it’s like working at the forefront of healthcare innovation.

Happy anniversary, Adam! If you had to describe your job in three words, what would they be?

Challenging, rewarding, nourishing.

You've been here for four years. Can you give us a brief summary of your journey through Answer?

Genomics, genomics, genomics.

What’s one career milestone you’re most proud of?

Becoming a BA. Making a career switch having thought I was 'done' and stuck in a dead-end role for life. It took a lot of training courses in my own time and a lot of hard lessons.

What’s the best thing about working with your team?

They are incredible at what they do. I come out of most days knowing more than I did going in, due to the expertise on display.

How do you like to spend your spare time?

Learning about tech, what's new, what's cutting edge, what boundaries have now been pushed, and what do I want but can't afford!

That passion for future tech is clear! If you could swap jobs with anyone for a day, who would it be?

Drop me in the R&D departments of Apple, Google, or Tesla. I want to see what they are up to but can't share with the world yet.

What’s your favourite place you’ve travelled to, and why?

I've got a soft spot for America. It's extreme in every way, never boring, and offers everything. The bustling cities of Chicago and New York, the vastness and beauty of the Nevada Desert and Grand Canyon, the vibe of New Orleans.

What is your biggest goal for the rest of 2025?

To have more emotional control and be at peace with things happening in the world which are out of my control.

What’s a fun fact about you that might surprise people?

I'd lose my job. (We’ll have to keep guessing on that one!)

Finally, what’s the most unusual job you’ve ever had?

I helped one night at a nursing home for some travel funds in my younger days. I have an incredible amount of respect for those who do it on a day-to-day basis. I was definitely not mature enough for it and still hold such scars.

A huge thank you to Adam for sharing his story and for all his fantastic work over the past four years. Here's to many more years of solving complex challenges in the world of genomics!

Let’s create something remarkable together
