Answer Digital Appointed to Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – Commercial Procurement Services Framework
We’re delighted to share that Answer Digital, working alongside Hippo as a subcontractor, has been appointed as a supplier to the Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – Commercial Procurement Services’ National Framework Agreement for Legacy Information Integration and Management.
This prestigious appointment strengthens our position as a trusted partner to the NHS and the wider public sector. Through this framework, NHS organisations across England can now access Answer Digital’s and Hippo’s combined expertise in data migration, information management, and healthcare technology transformation more easily and compliantly.
What is the Framework about?
As NHS organisations move from older Patient Administration Systems (PAS) or Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems to new platforms, large volumes of important patient data are often trapped in legacy systems. These old systems are costly to maintain and difficult to access — creating both operational and clinical challenges.
- The new National Framework Agreement simplifies this. It enables NHS Trusts to procure modern, cloud-based or on-site archive solutions that:Seamlessly integrate legacy patient data with new EPR systems.
- Allow clinicians to access historic patient information directly through their live system — no extra logins, no delays.
- Enable Trusts to shut down expensive, unsupported old systems safely, saving money and improving patient care.
Why this matters
Being part of this framework means Answer Digital, in collaboration with Hippo, is recognised as a key provider of solutions that help the NHS:
- Improve access to critical patient information.
- Streamline clinical workflows.
- Reduce costs by retiring outdated systems.
- Strengthen data security and patient safety.
At a time of ongoing change and pressure across healthcare, this framework offers Trusts a reliable route to future-proof their data management strategies — and we’re proud to be part of that journey.
"Being appointed to this national framework is a huge milestone for Answer Digital. It reflects the trust the NHS places in our ability to deliver complex, critical digital transformation projects. Working alongside Hippo, we're excited to help healthcare organisations across the country unlock the full value of their data, making patient care safer, smarter, and more connected for the future."
— Rich Pugmire, CEO, Answer Digital
