Accessibility statement for AIDE

This accessibility statement applies to the AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare website AIDE.

This website is run by the AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you are able to:

View all text when zoomed in up to 200% using a scroll

Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard

Navigate most of the website using speech recognition software

Listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent version of NVDA)

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

The website has been developed with accessibility in mind and great care and attention has been undertaken to ensure that this platform meets the needs of all users under WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

Although checks have been conducted to validate that the platform meets the above criteria, some functionality does not meet the expected standards because of the nature of the information being displayed. This is apparent with the Clinical Review process used when applications are in shadow mode. We believe this falls under the disproportionate burden exception, details of which are listed below.

Enforcement procedure

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the 'accessibility regulations'). If you're not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).

Technical information about this website's accessibility

The AI Centre for Value Based Healthcare is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the exemptions listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

None

Disproportionate burden

We believe that our approach to carrying out accessibility checks is reasonable.

However, the accessibility regulations say that we don't need to make all elements on a website accessible, if doing so would impose a disproportionate burden on us. The Clinical Review functionality falls under this section with regards to the components and technologies it is built in and the additional effort it would take to extract that functionality to make it accessible.

Browser and device compatibility

AIDE is designed to be compatible with the following browsers running on a minimum of 1000px width:

  • Safari
  • Edge
  • Chrome
  • Firefox

AIDE is not compatible with:

  • Browsers older than 2 major versions
  • Mobile device browsers
